1967 Shelby advertising of Pit Stop deoderant, sad. Really sad

This was one of the first things I found ridiculous enough to post and share with others who might see this as funny, sad, ridicualous, and in contrast to the amazing vehicular achievements of the 1959 Le Mans winning driver, and maker of the Cobra. http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2006/11/this-goes-to-show-how-far-greats-will.html Read more: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/#ixzz0d4jyoaWfMonday, January 18, 2010

What could possibly have been Shelby's incentive to be photographed with this piece of crap? (aka, how much was he paid to look happy?)
Disappointing because I remember that Carroll invented the 427 AC Cobra, won the 1959 24 hrs of Le Mans, set 16 US and international speed records in a Healey, and other remarkable things. To be see in the presence of this POS is horrible. But is it worse or better than the Pit Stop deoderant? http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2006/11/this-goes-to-show-how-far-greats-will.html
